Annual Sheridan Family Vacation

This year, we found a deal on Groupon for a cabin in the northwoods of Wisconsin.  It was REALLY up there!  In fact, the main road to get to the resort isn't even paved!  But lucky for us, the cabin was VERY nice and they had a ton of fun things for us to do!  We had a campfire, went swimming, went fishing (we will have to tell you that story in person!) went canoeing, went kayaking, played volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, went in the hot tub and even played a video game!  I know we all had a great time, but Ava and Ryan LOVED it!   At one point I overheard Ava say, "Like I was telling Joe this morning... I LOVE VACATION!"  Lots of memories were made again this year.  Can't wait for next year!

Day Trip to Hayward!

I have always wanted to climb in the mouth of a giant Muskie.... ok... well maybe not, but our day trip to Hayward and our trip to see the giant Muskie, did turn out to be a highlight.  I just love the picture of Ava "holding" up the Muskie!

Water Trampoline

A highlight of the trip was the water trampoline!  Joe and Kyle went on it on Monday and that inspired Ava.  All day long she asked to go on it, and finally Tuesday morning just before we were set to leave, we let her.  She swam out with dad and Joe and the minute she climbed up, she started crying.... VERY LOUDLY!  She was SCARED!  So mom paddled the canoe out to rescue her.  As soon as she got in the boat, she started crying AGAIN!  This time because she wanted to go back and try it again.  So... I helped her back on the trampoline and she started CRYING again.  This time Kyle and Joe helped calm her down and convinced her to just slide off of the side into the water.  She did and LOVED it!  Ryan wants to try it next year!  Hope the other guests at the resort packed ear plugs!

Ryan's Breakfast

Kyle, Ava and Ryan picked up donuts today for breakfast as a special treat.  After munching on his for awhile, I hear Ryan yell, "I'm Done!"  I turn to look at him and he hands me this... I guess he likes frosting!

Happy 59th Birthday Grandma!

We will start planning tomorrow for next years big "60" party!

Bay Beach 2012!

Aunt Andrea, Ava, Ryan and I made the annual trek to Bay Beach today!  We had a GREAT time and got on most rides without having to wait in line!  AWESOME!  Ava tried out the giant kiddie swings and the Ferris Wheel for the first time.  She LOVED them both.  She is becoming braver now that she is 5!!!  (This was Ryan's first time on the Ferris Wheel too-he loved it!). 

Ava couldn't decide if she had more fun at Bay Beach... or the dentist!!!! :)
