Hot Air Baloon Ride and 60 Memories!

For Grandma Sheridan's 60th Birthday we had a few tricks up our sleeve.  Mom had emailed Grandmas family and friends and asked for them to send a message with a memory they had of her.  When all was said and done we put all 60 memories in an individual envelope and got to watch as Grandma opened each one and got to relive 60 years of memories. They were funny and sentimental and Grandma had so much fun opening each one!  (Now the plan is for mom to scrapbook all the memories so Grandma has them all in a safe place)  Thanks to all of her family and friends who helped make this present so special!

 

The celebration never ends when you turn 60.  Last night Monica and Martha got to go on their Hot Air Balloon Ride!!!  (A present from their kids!)  We were lucky to be able to go and cheer them on!  It was so awesome to see them up in the air...but I would imagine that their view was even more spectacular!!!

 

Summer Adventure #12-Cherry Berry

We have been hearing all about Cherry Berry Frozen Yogurt.... so we had to check it out. 

 (It was on our summer bucket list after all!!!)

We liked it!!!  (But dad still votes for Culvers!) :)

Summer Adventure #10-Boat Ride and Fishing

We finally got to check out Great Aunt Monica's new boat.  It is VERY nice and are looking forward to man more boat rides.  The we came back to the dock and tried our hand at a little fishing.  Ryan caught his fish with his first cast.  It was the only one of the night! :)

Summer Adventure #9-Bay Beach

A perfect day for Bay Beach!  Aunt Andrea came with on our road trip to have fun on all the rides!  (It did take quite a bit of explaining for Ryan to realize that Bay Beach did not actually have a beach!!!)  But he was very happy to find all of the FUN rides

Summer Adventure #8- Let's Go Fly A Kite

We are making good progress on our summer bucket list!  Ava had gotten a new kite for her birthday that she wanted to test out.  It did great!  Ryan's not so much....(Dollar Store purchase)  Luckily Ava was a kind big sister and allowed Ryan to fly her kite for a bit.  We had so much fun!  And we learned our lesson- Dollar Stores are not the place to go for quality kites!  :)
