Cheese Days 2016
We had another fabulous time at Cheese Days 2016! So great to be able to come back and see all of our favorite people and eat all your favorite foods!

The Stephans Girls Double Header!
Last weekend, the girls and I went to Milwaukee to catch Maria's game at UW-M at noon and then Moni's game at Concordia at 3:30! It was a fun day of great soccer!

We got this amazing bouquet of flowers at the farmers market for $8! What a deal!
Ava's First Piano Lesson!
Ava had her first ever piano lesson. When she got home she ran upstairs to practice right away. Hope her enthusiasm lasts! Will keep you posted!

Volksfest!
Ryan had a birthday party to go to, Kyle and I took the girls to Volksfest (German Fest) in town for lunch. Don't worry, the girls did not partake in the Biergarten.
Mom and dad on the other hand.... no comment!
The Last Hurrah of Summer! Family Pontoon Boat Ride!
Oh boy... our little fun pontoon boat ride turned into quite the adventure. Last year at the Schultz Shootout, I convinced Ken to bid on a pontoon boat ride rental. This summer, it was on the bucket list to go on a family boat ride. Well... the first obstacle was finding a date that worked for everyone.... and then that day got rained out... TWICE! Finally as a spur of the moment trip, we went on Labor Day for an afternoon cruise. It started off OK, until..... one of the end of the lake was considerably more rough. The waves were big to begin with and then a HUGE wave (maybe from a passing boat/tuber) came by. It made the front of the boat go down and the water started pouring in! (I didn't even know that could happen to a pontoon boat!) We had so much water in the boat, that for a moment, I thought it might be going down. Luckily we got out of the crazy waves and went to the other side of the lake that was much more calm. Kyle ended up losing a sandal in the commotion... and Jillian a water bottle! It made for a tense moment at the time, but now it pretty comical. What a day!
