STRAWBERRY PICKING 2011!

This years picking was interesting to say the least.
 It is quite the story! 
(It's best if I tell it in person, but the short of the story is... the strawberry patch worker was not the most friendly woman in the world!)
Let's just say... we will not be going back to this patch!!!

Fun on the Square!

That's a BIG dog!!!  The Humane Society just took in almost 50 Great Danes.  This one was visiting the concert on the square.  He was so well behaved!  Ryan and Ava loved him.... what do you think daddy?? 

Eat Fresh!

These pictures are from my newly expanded garden.  Too bad the rabbits have been attacking my peas and beans!  We are still hoping to enjoy many fresh veggies in the next few months!

Happy Father's Day Dad-2011!

We have the best dad around.  He is funny and likes to play with us.  Ava likes it when dad laughs at funny things she does.  He also tries to act silly to make her laugh.  AND sneaks her cookies when mom isn't looking.  Ryan loves dad because he likes to play ball with him and dad comes to get him in the middle of the night if Ryan wakes up-after Ryan yells DADDY as loud as he can!  Ryan also LOVES to tell dad about all the things he sees while driving in the van.... trucks, cows, anything that Ryan thinks dad should see!  We are lucky to have such a great dad... he deserves a cookie... A BIG ONE!

Monroe Balloon Rally 2011

Both Ryan and Ava were REALLY into the balloons this year!  We had a great time chasing them in our car and also watching them from the fair grounds.  A few even went over our house!

Dont mind the messy face... He wanted this backpack on and kept in on most of the night and then insisted it be put on again the next day!  Guess he is ready for school!!!

Animals on the Loose!

A local artist carved all of these animals out of wood and brought them to the square!  They are AMAZING!  And the kids love them!  Ryan wouldn't sit still to get his picture with too many of them, but Ava was posing like crazy!
