This is how this is supposed to be used, right??? (They sure like their new fort!)
Gus loves the snow!
This was my handwriting lesson this week. Apparently our Gus has a reputation....(He should have been named Houdini! He has managed to jump over all the baby gates!)
I am absolutely positive we had the best childhood ever. We were lucky enough to live across the street from our best friends! We spent every free moment running around the neighborhood and going on all kinds of adventures! Between inventing our own games, putting on plays, traveling the neighborhood trying to sell Twizzlers (our parents didn't like that one very much), to forming our own club which had nickel dues that would one day be used for all of us to purchase an RV in order to travel to Florida, we were always together and "up to something". Paul and Claire Rutkowske were such an important part of our childhood! Joe and I were so lucky to grow up with them!
Gus is doing great! He is almost 10 weeks old (on Sat) and had his first vet appointment. He is still having a few accidents around the house now and then, but for the most part... knows where to go to do his job. He is sleeping really well at night... he gets up once around 2 am for about an hour and then goes back to sleep until 5:30 am. (Not much different then dealing with our 3 kids!) :-) He loves to play and chew on his toys... (sometimes he nips at the kids.... were working on that) And doesn't care for the cold very much... can you blame him? We converted our "shoe closet" into his bedroom and so far he is pretty happy to go there throughout the day. He is still sleeping in a large cardboard box in our room. And seems very content. (He never barks or whimpers in the night. I usually only know he is up and ready to go out because I hear him stirring in the box.)
