Cheese Days 2012!

We miss lots of things about Monroe.  But of course one of our favorites is Cheese Days!  Usually we had lots of people coming down to stay with us for the three day weekend but this year, we had to make the trek.  Thankfully the Andersons and Bruntons got us a GREAT spot for the parade and Grandma and Grandpa Bille met us half way (we were coming from the wedding in Milwaukee) so we all could make it for the parade on Sunday!

Kyle had the honor of standing up in Brad's wedding this weekend.  We had a GREAT time and really enjoyed catching up with Nick and Amanda Flood!

First Day of Kindergarten!

Ava was brave...mom tried to be!  (And mom did pretty well...just got a little teary eyed on the car ride after dropping her off!)  We were so happy to meet up with Cara and Charlie who were in her 4K class and now will be in her 5K class this year.  It is always easier to start off with at least 1 or 2 friends.  When I called at the end of the day to find out how it went (I just couldn't wait until I got home) the first thing she told me was..."I ate all of my lunch!!!"  She went on to tell me (in great detail) about the rest of the day.  She LOVED it!  I am proud of her every day, but today... I was a VERY proud momma!!!

Happy Birthday Ryan!

We had the party this weekend, but today was Ryan's official birthday.  He got to celebrate with his friends at Grandmas and also picked the place for dinner tonight... Pizza Ranch took a back burner to McDonalds!  He changed his mind a couple of times, but the chicken nuggets won out!  (And of course we had to get Birthday McFlurries!!!)  And the biggest surprise, waking up to balloons covering his bed!  I can't believe my baby is 3!!!

Ryan's 3rd Birthday Party

One of the benefits of having a birthday on Labor Day weekend is that lots of people are willing to help you celebrate.  It also helped that we got to hold his party at our new house.  So people could come to help celebrate but also get a tour!!!  Ryan was in HEAVEN!  He was such a happy little guy all day long!  AND was very blessed that so many family members could come... and bring AWESOME gifts that he LOVED!

 Great Grandma and Grandpa Stephans got this card for Ryan and really had no idea just how perfect it is for him.  He LOVES brushing his teeth (and does so about 10 times a day!) 



Ava's "Meet Your Teacher"

My little Ava is starting Kindergarten this week!  How can that possibly be???  She will be going to Meadow View here in Waupun.  Ava, Ryan and I went to "Meet Your Teacher" last week to drop off school supplies and meet Mrs. Pargeter.  Ava is excited for a fun school year!  (Don't mind me... I will be with all of the moms crying on the first day!!!)

Too Much Fun?

I LOVE SUMMER!!!!  LOVE IT!!!  Ava and Ryan are lucky.  Having two teachers as parents, they get LOTS of quality family time during the summer (not always so much during basketball season, so the summer makes up for it!)  We try and pack as many fun, memory making activities as we can in the short 3 months before its back to school time.  (I know, I know... there will come a time when they won't want to spend their summers with us... that's  why we need to build these memories now so they want to continue the tradition even if they are "too cool" teenagers!  Here is a small list of the fun we had this summer... and why I love it so!!!!!
