A Good, Old Fashioned Summer

Through the library summer reading program, we are asked to do little activities through the week besides our normal 20 minutes of reading. We have been having a great time with the activities. Takes me back to summers that I spent playing with the kids in the neighborhood!

3rd Annual Bille Family Brewer Game--Bucket List Item

Boy! This year the game  was hot hot hot! But as always a great time spent with family! 

Ryan Reading to Gracie!

Ryan had an awesome year in kindergarden!  He went from a Level A reader (just starting)   to a Level E (above grade level) by the end of kindergarten. He loves being able to pick up any book and trying his best!  Gracie's favorite character  is Dora and we just checked this book out from the library for her. He picked it up and started reading it to her! So sweet! 

Gus is 8 months old!

Gus is a typical 8 month old puppy! And most days he drives us nuts with his energy! Now that we're home in the summer, we're hoping to exercise him and wear him out enough that he isn't so crazy! He has shown glimpses of being a really great dog! And his agility skills are amazing! He would love to play catch/fetch with a ball all day long! He's sleeping really great at night! And he's chewing has gotten a little bit better! Although he did just destroy Kyle's  wallet! Hoping to get him in some obedience classes soon! :-)

Off to a great start!

We made sure to hit up opening weekend for the pool (the water was OK, but the air temp was cold!!!) and opening day for the library summer reading program. And got our first Mullins Drive In ice cream of the seasonseason! A great couple of days! 

2016 Bille Family Summer Bucket List

My classroom is officially packed up for the summer (and let me tell you.... we kindergarten teachers have A LOT of stuff) It was about time we finalized out Bucket list. We have already thought of a few moremore, so this may be a working document.  Sure looks like this will be a terrific summer! 

Ava's Fairy Garden

Ava did an awesome job on her fairy garden. We did it for dirt cheap (pun intended) compared to a few we saw at the store! 

 Gracie had to get in on the action too... Poor Gracie got the leftovers.... And mom's cilantro that needed a home!
