Coronavirus Quarantine Week 9

Coronavirus Quarantine Week 9
The Safer at Home act has officially been lifted, but I'm going to continue my weekly post until school is officially done. So two more weeks... but who's counting?
Our "Some Good News" for Week 9....
*We saw a Bald Eagle on our hike this week.
*Against my better better judgment I let Grace make slime and she was living her best life.
*The girls (ok, mainly Ava) painted the garden shed. *Had lots of helpers getting the garden planted... Not sure they really spaced out the seeds, I guess we will see in a few weeks. (Grace made our vegetable signs.)
*During Quarantine, the kids have been busy helping Aunt Andrea film her science experiments for her class. They are loving it! This week, homemade lava lamps.
*Ryan made a Lego volcano (that really erupted) for school.
* Little Mrs. Bille was excited to see that all 5 caterpillars successfully made it to the chrysalis stage. Now anxiously awaiting our butterflies in 7 to 10 days.
*Ryan and Grace held their own art class that lasted all day long and I'm still finding paper and crayons and markers everywhere around the house! #atleadttheyweregettingalong
*And Ava was chosen to be a member of the Junior National Honor Society! A sign of the times...she had to take a virtual oath via Zoom for her induction!

Mother's Day 2020

8 weeks of this!  Quarantine is getting old, but we are trying to find ways to keep everyone motivated.  On a positive note, only 3 more weeks of distance learning left!
This weeks "Some Good News"....
Lots of family bike rides (Grace and I are even trying a small ride together daily)
Outing to Lake Michigan
Ryan and Mom 3 Mile Walk (He is such a talkative kid when you get him alone)
Face Lift for the Garden Shed
"Field Trip to Shalom
"Little Mrs. Bille" mailed out to all my students for some fun mail and adventures!

Annual May Day Tradition!

We love going around town to deliver our Annual May Day baskets to our friends, family and neighbors.  Grace was terrified the entire time that we would be caught.  Grandpa Bille was once again on his "A Game" and caught us in the act.  Otherwise we were pretty sneaky this year!

Coronavirus Quarantine Week 7

It was a hard week as I had to pack up my classroom for the year.  It is so heartbreaking to think of all the special end-of-the-year days that my students are missing.  I couldn't let them miss out May Day tradition, so I went around to deliver to their houses.  An instant mood booster!  In other good news for the week....

*Grace got a "new to her" bike upgrade.  (In typical Grace fashion... A Barbie bike with a Ninja Turtles bike helmet.)

*First Family Bike Ride of the Year

*A Little Batting Practice

*Visiting Grandpa B (Yay for getting outside!)

*Fun with Grandpa and Grandma Bille at the farm

*First Weenie Roast (Apparently they have never done that before.  Smores, of course, but 1st time for hot dogs.  They loved it!)  I think it is a parenting fail that they are 12, 10, and 6 and never roasted hot dogs over a campfire!
