Here is the story behind the cake....
The other day we were all working in the yard. Ava was playing and noticed a little ladybug walk across her pants legs. We turned our heads for one minute and when we looked again, she had something in her mouth! Kyle ran over and found the ladybug on her TONGUE!!! Kyle freaked out and quickly swiped her mouth and told her how yucky it was. I (being the kindergarten teacher) told her how impressed I was with her fine motor skills that she could catch a moving bug, pick it up with her fingers and put it into her mouth!!! So I made her a ladybug she could actually eat!!!

Party Time (A week early!)
Don't worry... this wasn't Ava's REAL birthday party. She just wanted to celebrate with her Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Stephans and all of her Great Aunts and Uncles and second cousins!!! This party was just a warm up for next weekend!!!

Ava's Lilac Bush
Ava got this Lilac bush from Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Stephans when she was just a week old. Now a year later, the bush is getting bigger and so is Ava!Ava Helping Mom with the Dishes!
Mom was rinsing dishes at the sink and turned around to find Ava, who had crawled up onto the dishwaser by herself!

I am 50 Weeks Old Today!!!!

Who says girls are dainty????
BEFORE (with a full bucket of water)Ava was helping mom and dad plant flowers and work in the yard. She got in the mud/water bucket and was splashing around. To keep her out of the yucky water, daddy went and got her a bucket of clean water to splash in. She picked it up and dumped it all over herself.....
and couldn't have cared less....
My Cool "New" Slide!
Last fall this neat little slide was dropped off in our yard by a secret fairy... later we learned the fairy was actually a co-worker of mom's!
