The Cake

Ava picked a Tom and Jerry theme for her birthday this year.  After last years near disaster with my homemade Sponge Bob cake, I learned my lesson and only made it two layers!

Ava Turns 5!!!!

Well what a great day Ava had yesterday for her 5th Birthday.  She woke up to find her bed COVERED in balloons!  24 to be exact!  Then she got to have a donut (with sprinkles) for breakfast...yummy!  At 4K that day her class went to the Fond du Lac Children's Museum and then when they got back, they got to celebrate with Rainbow Cupcakes.  When she got off the bus, Grandpa Bille took her to McDonald's for a special birthday lunch.  At the end of the day, she went out to eat at the Mineshaft in Hartford with Grandma Sheridan, Mom, Dad and Ryan.  (She celebrated with Grandma Bille and the daycare kids earlier in the week!)  What a great day... and the fun isn't over yet!  Tomorrow she celebrates with her party!  Pictures to come soon!

Muffins With Mom!

Ava's 4K class invited me for "Muffins with Mom" today!  We had a great time and Ava spoiled me with lots of presents!  I LOVE BEING A MOM!!!

Mother's Day 2012

Each year, mom does a project with her kindergarten kids and asks them questions about their moms.  This year she decided to try it with Ava and Ryan... here are their answers!

Technology is Fun!

Technology is fun!  We love using mom's "IPAD". 

(It's actually a Kindle Fire but Ava always calls it an ipad.

Right now her favorite game is a beginning reading app. 

Ryan's favorite is a monkey preschool game.

This is a rare moment when they are sharing it nicely.

Tiny Dancer!

Ava was taking dance at the Hartford Park and Rec for the last couple of weeks.  Unfortunately, she missed her last class of the session because she came down with a 24 hour bug this weekend.  AND she never gets sick!  But she is feeling better and we are hoping that she doesn't share with the rest of us!

Cowgirl Ava!

This week also happened to be "The Week of the Young Child" so Ava got to dress up each day for school.  Today was "dress up as what you want to be when you grow up" and Ava chose a "cowgirl"  Here is what we whipped up!

The only glitch was... she forgot her hat on the bus on the way to school.... so she was a cowgirl who was missing her hat!  But she still looked the part!

At Grandma and Grandpa Bille's, we went on a scavenger hunt all around the house and yard to find our "treasure".  We had so much fun that at the end, we were hoping to find more clues!  But we LOVE our baskets and all the goodies we found inside!
