Summer Adventure #16- Port Washington

A great day to check Port Washington off our summer bucket list. We walked on the break water (which made dad a little nervous), had lunch, and went to play at a super fun playground called Possibility Playground. A great day outside. (Until Ryan through a fit when it was time to leave the playground...but you will have a little of that!) :)

Ava's U8 Soccer Practice

Ryan's Swimming Lessons

Ryan is LOVING his first round of swimming lessons without Mom or Dad. Plus he is the only boy in the class so he loves showing off how brave he is- he is jumping off "the bridge"! (He is also the littlest so all the teachers think he is "SO CUTE"!) He loves all the attention and is doing AWESOME!!

UPDATE: The last two classes he has been complaining that he doesn't want to go in because the water is too cold. BUT the minute he gets in... he is fine. So hopefully he gets over this fast!

Summer Adventure #15-Alto Fair Fun~2013

This year Andrea and I were deemed "chairwomen of the hot dog" area of the Alto Fair Food Booth! (I know... you are all jealous! Ha!) Actually it went very smoothly and although we had to work a lot (Andrea even more than me because I had to cart the kids to swimming lessons) and we convinced our family and friends to work too!!! Here is Ken and Val hard at work!

We ate almost all our meals at the Fair for the past two days...

We love seeing the animals although I don't think these two are "country kids". Ryan could hardly handle the smell! But our favorite of course is "Peach" (the horse). We met her last year at the Alto Fair and love her because she shares a birthday with Ava- May 18th. We found her again and she looks as beautiful as always!

The Games!!!

The carnies were really wanted us to play a game and we finally gave in yesterday night. We found a game where the carnie said both could win a prize and they both were actually REALLY good. You had to throw the dart. Ryan popped 4/4 balloons and Ava popped 3/4! (The carnie gave us 2 extra darts so they each could have 4) The both got a prize and then he even gave me a banana for the new baby!!! HA!

The Rides!!!

We loved the new rides and Ava REALLY liked the giant slide. One of the carnies let Ava go down 5 times on it (when you normally only get to go down 2 per time)

The Parade!

Grandma and Grandpa Sheridan even came to check it out. It was great as always-where else can you get string cheese, freeze pops AND TONS of candy all thrown right to your feet!

Summer Adventure #14- Walk on the Boardwalk!

On Monday we went for a walk on the famous? Waupun Boardwalk. We saw all kind of wildlife. Two turkeys (a mom and her baby), a snake, and a deer! The kids had a great time and were troopers walking the entire way...(and back). The ice cream cones we stopped for afterwards might have helped motivate them! :)
