On Tuesday, we woke up early to head out to Custer State Park in hopes of seeing Buffalo and wild burros. We sure found LOTS of buffalo! They were very active and super fun to watch. Our burros however somehow eluded us and we ended up not being able to feed our carrots to them. It was kind of a bummer, but we will just have to save it for our next trip. After Custer State Park, we headed just south to Wind Cave National Park. Although it had beautiful scenery, we were too late to get on a tour of the cave. We continued on our journey and stopped in Cheyenne, Wyoming to take a picture of the capital before arriving at our destination for the night--Estes Park, Colorado! We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our room and this room had bunk beds too! (Very happy kids!) Kyle, Grace and Ryan went swimming in the outdoor pool while Ava, Grandpa and I went downtown in search of dinner. Ava claims she saw a moose in downtown Estes Park... and she may have! Although Grandpa and I didn't see it.
