Coronavirus Quarantine Week 2

Governor Evers officially ordered the Shelter In Place Law, which really put a damper on our Spring Break plans....(we were supposed to be at Disney this week)  Luckily we found a few things to keep us (somewhat) busy.
1. Family Walks (So many that poor Gus has a sore paw...oops!)
2. Happy Heart Hunt (A group on Facebook that asks you to put hearts in your window)
3. Family Nerf Battle (Mom won....at least in my opinion.)
4. Another 1000 piece puzzle
5. "Zoom"ing with family
6. Lots of Baking.... Grace made Brownies, Ava made Cherry Crumble and Oreo balls and Ryan is going to be making Cornbread Muffins with homemade butter.
7. Mo Willems Lunch Doodle
8. Visiting with Grandpa B

Visiting Grandpa B

Grandpa B's nursing home isn't allowing any visitors right now due to the Coronavirus so we went to visit him through his window.

Grace's Cooking Show--Brownies (Her Favorite!)

Coronavirus Quarantine Week 1

What. A. Week.
We survived Week 1 of Covid19 and have found lots of positives amongst these crazy, uncertain times.  Homeschooling started this week with 2 days and all went well.  All 3 kids were motivated and got work done right away (Grace was the most excited of course...)  We will see if that holds true in future weeks  Kyle and I are navigating teaching from home and helping our students while helping our own kids get their work done.  We had lots of family time.....my favorite.... with game nights, movie nights (we got to see Onward which is a movie that should still be in theaters but since the theaters closed, they offered it on Amazon for a price--still cheaper than the theater), we put together an 1000 piece puzzle in 3 days, we had lots of family walks and chalk art.  The only glitch so far is that Ava has been asking what for lunch by 9:15am.  (Good thing she has a cooking club subscription, so we put her to work on a few meals this week--Jambalaya!)  Although our Disney Spring Break Trip next week had to be rescheduled, we are looking forward to a few outdoor (social distancing) adventures to fill the time.  We are so thankful and proud of all our family and friends in the Healthcare and Corrections fields who cant work from home.  We are praying for their safety.  Always try to see the good.  (I can't believe that I would ever see the day that a Catholic Mass was canceled..... I always say... Catholics Don't Cancel.  Guess there is a first time for everything!
